St Catherine FA semis kick off today
The first-leg semi-finals of the LIME St Catherine Football Association (SCFA) Major League and Division One competitions will kick-off today with a double header at the Prison Oval.
In the first game at 3:00 pm, Treadways FC oppose Christian Pen in Division One action, while in the feature event Major League teams Royal Lakes FC oppose Black Lion FC at 5:30 pm.
The second leg will be played next Saturday at the same venue, with Christian Pen FC hosting Treadways FC at 3:00 pm, while at 5:30 pm, Black Lion entertain Royal Lakes.
On the other side of the draw, Travellers FC welcome Frazsier’s FC at 3:00 pm at Prison Oval on Sunday in Division One, while at 5:30 pm Police FC welcome Portsmouth FC in Major League action.
The second leg semi-finals are scheduled for next week Thursday at the same venue with Travellers FC visiting Frazsier’s FC at 3:00 pm, and Police and Portsmouth meeting at 5:30 pm for a place in the final set for May 1.
The winner of the Major League will gain promotion to the South Central Confederation Super League, while the Division One winner will advance to the Major League.
Last October, telecoms sponsor LIME signed a three-year agreement with the St Catherine Football Association valued at more than $24 million towards the development of the sport in the parish.
