Whitney Houston ‘banned from Prince concerts’

She’s obviously a massive fan, but Whitney Houston is apparently no longer welcome at Prince’s concerts. According to reports the singer has been banned from the pop star’s future shows following her bizarre behaviour during his recent string of Los Angeles dates as part of the Welcome 2 America tour. US website TMZ reports that Whitney constantly badgered Prince’s team to let her onstage, but was refused. In a video, uploaded by a fan to YouTube last week, Whitney is seen giving a shaky performance with Prince onstage. She sings a few lines and dances, before Prince takes the microphone back from her. He then entreats the audience to applaud, before firmly leading Whitney to the stairs to leave the stage. As she walks past the microphone she chants “Go Whitney”. Another video uploaded by a fan shows Whitney and her daughter Bobbi Kristina dancing over-enthusiastically in the audience at one of Prince’s shows. Whitney is currently undergoing treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, her spokeswoman revealed on Monday. The 47-year-old has voluntarily enrolled in an out-patient programme rather than a residential facility.

Chris Brown strips off for Las Vegas birthday celebration

It looked like Chris Brown didn’t have a care in the world as he stripped off in Las Vegas to celebrate his 22nd birthday. Sporting a heavily tattooed torso, the singer smiled widely as he posed with a brightly coloured birthday cake at trendy nightclub Pure Sunday last. However, as he celebrated in front of a crowd of party-goers, his mother’s comments about his infamous Rihanna assault were hitting the headlines. In an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Joyce Hawkins said, “He has to learn to deal with it and go on with his life. This is something that happened; it was a huge mistake… it was not good at all. But he is still a human being and we all make mistakes and we live and we go on with it. But he has to own it, deal with it and move on with his life. I think he really needs to talk about the situation in itself, what actually happened to Rihanna… so that he can get that out for himself.” In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault after a bust-up with his then-girlfriend Rihanna on the morning of the Grammy Awards.

Are Courteney Cox and David Arquette trying to save their marriage with counselling?

From the look of things, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are making every effort to repair their troubled marriage. The pair were spotted last week entering a building that has several counselling offices inside. Courteney 46, and David, 39, arrived at the building separately in Van Nuys, California, a middle-class neighbourhood in the San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles. Before heading inside the small medical facility, they met up at nearby Arnie’s Cafe & Pizzeria and grabbed a quick bite to eat first. Wearing skinny black jeans, a black shirt and black flat shoes, a casually dressed Courteney left the cafe walking side-by-side with David who looked business-like in khaki pants, a green jacket, white shirt and a tan coloured tie. The Cougar Town actress split from David last year after 11years of marriage. A short time later, the Scream actor checked in for a stint in rehab to address ‘alcohol and other issues’. Courteney has recently said the couple are getting on better.
