Producer Charles “Sponge Music” Williston is upbeat as his latest production, No Emotions by dancehall artiste Alkaline, has hit the #2 spot on the YouTube Trending for Music chart.

Released on January 9, the video has so far racked up more than 454,000 views on YouTube.

“I am very pleased with how the public has received this song,” said Sponge Music.  “Working with Alkaline has always been a good experience. His sister Kareena Beckford is very professional and we all learn from each other whenever we produce music.  This is a great way to start the new year.”

Alkaline and Sponge Music have worked on multiple projects ever since Sponge stepped into the production game close to 14 years ago. Their collaborations include the songs Real Dawgs (his first hit as a producer), Heart Scar, Earn Your Way and Nah Lef Eh Game.

Sponge Music, who is originally from St James, has worked with a number of top acts through the years. Some of the better known songs that he has produced include Tek Him by Ikaya, Live and Learn by Govana, Dawg Dem by Nhance, Killa by Demarco, Not Perfect by Mavado and Pain by Mavado, Dexta Daps and Jay-A.

No Emotions is among the songs that will be included on Alkaline’s long-awaited third studio album, which is due for release over the next few months.
