Rickrack Rock
Whenever I do a bit of spring cleaning, I inevitably scrutinise all items and try to figure out if they have a possible second life in them, like a pair jeans I just found. I looked at it and thought… hmm, this would make a nice handbag. Just add some rickrack trim and buttons and it’s all done.
For this project you will need:
* Old jeans
* Trimmings and buttons
You will then:
* Cut one leg off the trousers.
* Attach rickrack, buttons or any other trimmings you may have chosen.
* Turn inside out and stitch the bottom shut.
* Hem the raw edge of the top and attach straps.
And your little one now has a cute handbag to tote around. This project will take you 30 minutes tops, and there are countless other things you can make from a single pair of jeans, like different styles of the little handbag. Enjoy!
