Laura Facey’s ‘Satanic Jesus’
Laura Facey’s Body andBlood of Christ must beremoved from public view.

Laura Facey’s ‘Satanic Jesus’

ARTISTIC creations most times occur in the midst of mediumistic trances or transcendental exercises. In the artist’s mystical experiences, the description of what is seen must be distinct from the interpretation of the objects.

I do not doubt that Laura Facey had an ecstatic experience, but like the injunctions of Paul to the Corinthians: “the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets” 1Corinthians 14:32. Both the mystic work of art and the prophetic insight are spiritual experiences which require careful interpretation.

Laura claimed that the Redemption Song sculptures at Emancipation Park and the Body and Blood of Christ are God-given and sacred. The question then is, would God go against what He established as in the case of the Body and Blood of Christ, and would history and the dignity of the black race allow the degrading of our ancestors, even in public? The Redemption Song and the Body and Blood of Christ are insults to the black ancestors and the church.

Lineage

I am a descendant of slaves and I guess that Laura Facey has a slave master’s bloodline. The same time in 2003 when the Redemption Song sculptures were put in place, I travelled to Brisbane, Australia, and how grateful I was to see the decent sculptural presentation of an African descendant.

The African Burial Ground in Broadway in Manhattan, New York, is inspiring. The respect and honour they gave to the slave descendants cannot be overlooked. As I stood in that lovely scenery, and reflected on how much our ancestors had suffered, suddenly I paused. If I had seen the sculptures of the Emancipation Park in New York African Ground, how would I have reacted? I would have been very upset to see my ancestors being represented in nakedness and disgrace.

Have we become so careless that the decency and dignity of our ancestors mean nothing much to us? Are we going to be silent if we see a degrading sculpture of our ancestors in London, New York City or in Toronto? Shame on our national leaders who accepted such sculptures! What about a sculpture with chains broken? What about if Laura gave us the Redemption Song sculptures with the black race lifting up a flag of Jamaica with a smile of freedom? Laura did it and got praises. So she proceeded to insult the church!

Satanic Jesus

Arts in general have weaknesses that come from the unwillingness to learn from other fields. A gospel artiste may record songs that are theologically wrong. Laura Facey’s sculpture of Jesus does not represent the historical Jesus. Allow me to prove that it is a satanic representation of Christ.

(1) Jesus was crucified in a Circumstantial Royalty. There is no passage in the Bible that claimed that Jesus was crucified in Laura’s kind of nakedness. They stripped Jesus of his garments and put on him a scarlet or purple robe (Matthew 27:28). They did not cast lots and part with his garments until after the crucifixion (Matthew 27:35).

These were presentations through the Synoptic Gospels and even the Gospel of John. Jesus was crucified in a purple robe and a crown of thorns on his head. He was mocked and addressed as the King of the Jews with INRI inscribed on top of the cross (Matthew 27:29).

The Romans were dignified people at the time of Jesus’ death. They did not crucify whether Jesus or the thieves were naked. They were well cultured people.

So where did Laura get her nakedness from? Laura Facey is a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation (TM). In TM practice the soul is involved, which sometimes leads to a sort of soul travel or astro projection. As one continues in this form of meditation, naked pictures are spiritual sights that can be seen not necessarily in a romantic form. Many TM practitioners have confessed that they have seen naked figures of males and females in their meditations. The picture of a kind of Jesus must have been given to Laura. Satan surely will want Jesus presented naked to the world. Laura was theologically wrong. Jesus was crucified in a purple robe with a crown on his head.

(2) It was not possible to break the bones of Jesus on the cross. The Gospel of John 19:36 made references to Exodus 12:46, Numbers 9:12, Psalm 34:20 that a bone of him shall not be broken. Jesus was a Passover sacrifice. The bone shall not be broken. Not only did Laura break his neck, she broke his hands and legs. That sculpture militates against the theology of the Passover. Where then lies the crown of thorns, where are the nail prints in his hands? Laura Facey’s sculpture is a satanic image, for it does not represent the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Even the soldiers could not break the bones of his legs (John 19:33).

(3) It has been proved medically that for blood and water to come out of a dead person the piercing must have been on the left side – where the heart is located. Jesus was pierced at the left side, not at the right, because blood and water came out of him (BW Johnson – The New Testament Commentary Volume 111). Extra biblical notes can be used to prove this fact. Laura could have done her homework, so as not to put the piercing on the right side.

I strongly suggest that Laura’s Satanic Jesus be removed from public view. Whoever keeps such a sculpture keeps a satanic object which has devastating consequences. Laura needs to sanctify her soul lest she will continue to go against moral and spiritual norms.
