Beauty in and out – 2011 Miss Global Jamaica finalists sashed
TWO Sundays ago, 35 contestants paraded at the Morgan’s Harbour Hotel in Port Royal, with the hope of reaching the Miss Jamaica Global 2011 pageant finals this weekend.
The show started off with greetings from pageant founder Lachu Ramchandani and Dwight Nelson, minister of national Security, which was followed by an inspirational dance piece to Mariah Carey’s Butterfly by the Stones Dance group.
Décor courtesy of Lesa Hugh-Sam and her team from Inspired Events, made patrons expect great things from the rest of the evening’s proceedings.
Cherine Anderson, Mohinder Grover and Joe Hilton judged the 35 ladies as they modelled down the runway past the waiting audience.
The deliberation came with a 10-minute break to refresh themselves with food courtesy of Paradise Catering and Décor Limited. It was then time for eliminations host, Debby Bisson, named the 21 beauties that made the final cut.
The Miss Jamaica Global Grand Coronation Show will be on May 28, 2011 at 8:00 pm at the Grand Palladium Hotel Resort & Spa in Montego Bay Jamaica. The winner of this competition will move on to represent Jamaica at the international leg of the competition, which will be held at home on September 24, 2011 at the same location.
