Superstitious nonsense
Dear Editor,
If one had the time and inclination to probe into the core doctrines of Christianity, one would soon discover that they are nothing more than an amalgam of superstitious ideas plucked straight from pagan beliefs and projected on to the image of a mythical Jesus. From the claim of a Virgin birth to the crucifixion, resurrection, ascension and the supposed miracles in between — all of these teachings have their moorings in the pagan belief systems of the Greco-Roman world in which Pauline (Western) Christianity was formulated and propagated.
Long gone are the days when the facts were locked away in monasteries or rendered inaccessible by virtue of mass illiteracy. This is the information age. With one key word or phrase and the click of a mouse, you can begin exploring for yourself truths that will set you free from superstitious nonsense such as doomsday predictions. You could start at www.2think.org.
