Shaw heads to CDB heads meeting
Finance Minister Audley Shaw left the island yesterday to attend the 41st annual meeting of the board of governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).
The meeting takes place on May 25 and 26 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Shaw will address tomorrow’s plenary session where he is expected to extend congratulations to new CDB president Dr Warren Smith who assumed office on May 1. Smith is the first Jamaican president of the Bank, and was nominated by Shaw who is a governor of the CDB.
Shaw will return to the island on Friday.
