PanCaribbean praises boys in Antigua at St Aloysius Primary
OVER 30 young men of the St Aloysius Primary School were honoured by the school and members of PanCaribbean Financial Services (PCFS) Limited for their outstanding performance throughout the academic year, last week.
The awards ceremony, which took place during the school’s annual Boys’ Day, saw presentations from Peter Knibb, Chief Financial Officer of PCFS, and Keisha Goldburn, a teacher at the school.
Knibb encouraged the youngsters to strive for excellence. “I am very proud of you. You are well-mannered, bright young men and I encourage you to strive for glory,” he said.
Held under the theme, ‘Your Aspiration Determines your Destination: Aspire to be Men of Worth’, were presented the boys with medals and trophies for their outstanding academic performance and good conduct.
Goldburn highlighted, “the academic performance and the overall behaviour of our boys are directly impacted by exposing the boys to strong male mentors and positive rewards”.
“St Aloysius is one of the pioneers of the Boys’ Day venture and we thank PanCaribbean for the consistent, overwhelming support over the past five years,” she added.
Teachers and co-ordinators of the Boys’ Day activities have reported seeing an improvement in the overall performance of the boys participating in the day’s activities.
