Crystal United on hunt in St James netball
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Defending champions Crystal United will be on the hunt for win number three in the St James Netball Association’s Hunger Buster/Impact Auto Senior League today when they take on winless Angels B in the second game of a double-header at the Montego Bay Boys Club.
Fresh from their 31-goal win over Starlight Juniors on Wednesday, Crystal will seek to increase their points tally to nine in Zone A.
In the first game, last year’s beaten finalists 12-Star and Pacers A will meet to decide the leaders of Zone B as both are on three points from one win.
On Wednesday, Crystal, led by Ladonna Lamonth’s 43 goals, beat Starlight Juniors 50-29 at Boys Club.
Crystal were always in control of the game and led from the start, 15-6, after the first quarter and 27-13 at half time.
Crystal were up 37-21 going into the fourth quarter with Amoylia Stewart chipping in with six goals and Gina Haughton scoring one of her two attempts.
Noreen Wilson was the top scorer for Starlight with 17 goals with Stacian Henry scoring 12.
