Kinloss join Invaders in Trelawny Major League final
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Despite going down 2-3 in Thursday’s return-leg semifinals to Granville FC at the Elliston Wakeland Centre, Kinloss advanced to the final of the Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League where they will meet Invaders.
After winning Sunday’s first leg 5-1, Kinloss advanced with a 7-4 aggregate score and will face off with Invaders in the final set for Sunday and Wednesday.
On Thursday, needing to win by at least five goals, Granville got off to a fast start when Damion Adamson scored in the first minute of play.
They had to wait until the last 10 minutes of play to get two more goals while Kinloss scored twice to ensure a safe passage.
Ricardo Smith scored in the 12th minute before Ronique Haynes registered in the 78th minute for Kinloss, while Adamson in the 81st and Patrick Pinnock in the 83rd scored for Granville.
Invaders had advanced over Flames in the other semi-final draw.
