Two bail absconders wanted by police
THE Westmoreland Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jermaine Roy Brown and Torneil Haughton who were arrested for murder but have absconded bail. Warrants have since been issued for their arrest.
Brown, a 30-year-old taxi driver, and Haughton, 26, are both from Alma district in Grange Hill, Westmoreland, according to the police.
Brown is of dark complexion, stout build, sports a dreadlocked hairstyle, has a round face and is about 175 centimetres (5 ft 9ins) tall. Haughton is 168 centimetres (5ft 6ins) tall, of medium build, dark complexion and is blind in one eye.
Brown and Haughton were charged with the murder of Rasheika Clair and Stacy-Ann Kelly who were found dead on August 25, 2008. The girls were reported missing on August 18 of that year. Their bodies were found in a cave at Camp Savannah Mountain in Grange Hill.
Both were given bail and were to appear in the Westmoreland Circuit Court on February 15, 2011. However, they did not report for court.
