Lake captures Hi-Pro Trophy
ADAM Lake and his mount Alexis Pegasus had an impressive clear final round, coming from behind to capture the HI-PRO trophy as the overall winner in the final of the three competitions at the Kingston Polo Club and Equestrian Centre, recently.
Lake finished second, one point behind in the first two rounds before a resurgent final round in which he finished first to take the overall championships with 28 points.
Jonathan Vaz astride Shabba Ranks placed second with 26 points and Jason Walter third on his mount Shambal with 22 points.
There was an exciting battle for second place with Justin Vaz on board Cassonova and Frankie Chin with Jiggy having a tie with four faults leading into a jump-off battle.
Chin did an amazing clear round showing in a time of 49.95 seconds to finish second ahead of Vaz, who despite having a faster time of 47.04 seconds ended with 11 faults to place third.
The Low, Medium, High and Super League takes place on Sunday at the Kinston Polo Club and Equestrian Centre starting at 9:00 am.
