For our final instalment of our fashionable nails feature, we showcase a growing celebrity trend — the pointed nail. Celebs like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Adele, and Keri Hilson have all been spotted rocking this seemingly unusual design. Though many are rather unsure about whether or not to give the razor-sharp stiletto nails a try, the trend has gone viral amongst A-listers. Here is how you can get this fierce new craze…

Products needed:

* Emery board or nail file

* Orange stick

* Cotton

* Acetone

* Acrylic Powder & Liquid Kit

* Nail Buffer

* Nail Tips

* Manicure Container or small bowl

* Nail Glue

* Nail Polish

* Nail Primer for acrylic nails

* Top Coat

Steps:

* Buff the nails using the buffer.

* Sanitise the hands by soaking them in warm water, and remove dirt particles that may be beneath the nails.

* Remove any remaining polish with cotton and acetone. Use the orange stick to aid in removing polish from the crevices of the nails.

* Apply nail tips with nail glue then cut to your desired length.

* Use the Emery board or the nail file to create a pointy stiletto-like shape.

* Apply the primer to the nails.

* Apply a combination of acrylic powder and liquid with a clean brush.

* Buff the nails then file to have a smooth nail surface.

* Wash the hands to remove particles that may have appeared after the nails were buffed.

* Use a nail polish of your choice to add colour.

* Apply top coat of clear nail polish to finish the look.
