The America’s Next Top Model host has embarked on an Eat Pray Love-style trip to the Far East with a female friend to get over the split from banker John Utendahl after three years. Friends had predicted that Banks, 38, would settle down with Utendahl. “Tyra has gone away with a female friend and has been island-hopping, visiting Bali and taking a spiritual retreat,” a source told the New York Post. Utendahl, who runs an investment bank, is reported to have got over the split and was seen at a bar with a leggy Russian model. Banks first met Utendahl in 2007, but only went public with their romance a year later. In the film Eat Pray Love, the female lead character played by Julia Roberts travels to the Far East to get over the end of a relationship. The film is based on the best-selling book by Elizabeth Gilbert.

She may be on a relaxing break in Hawaii but it seems that Ali Lohan has entrusted the help of a friend to relax her even more. The 17-year-old model was spotted relaxing outdoors this week with a rather eccentric-looking friend. Wearing a pair of tiny denim shorts with a white printed T-shirt, Ali was seen laughing as she chatted to her friend. He wore a baggy printed top with black cut-off denim shorts as he entertained the star. He finished off his look with a long silver chain that held a cross; several rings on his left hand and also a red string bracelet that he wore on his left ankle that looked like it could be a representation of Kabbalah. The star was spotted with her friend the day before as well when they went for lunch at the beach. The brunette is on the island with her older sister Lindsay who was also spotted with the mysterious male.

She has recently embarked on a weight loss programme that has seen her shed a significant amount of weight. And Jersey Shore star Snooki showed off the stunning results in a new Twitter picture. Showing her domestic side, the 24-year-old posted a snap of her getting lifted in the air by boyfriend Jionni LaValle as the pair decorated their first Christmas tree together. In the image, the pint-sized star’s legs look especially trim and toned. She also appears to be significantly slimmer in the face, with her jawline more defined. The self-proclaimed guidette, who was proudly perched on her man’s shoulder, flaunted her figure in a pair of tiny shorts. She paired the look with a tight long-sleeve top and got festive with her footwear in a pair of glittery red platform shoes. Snooki told In Touch that diet and exercise have played a role in her new look. Meanwhile season five of Jersey Shore will air on MTV on January 5, 2012.
