That is one MEGA mansion!

People Post

Work has been going on to finish their dream home for the past 20 months. And now it seems Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s US$20-million mansion is finally finished, as photographs emerged showing the incredible property following completion. It is believed that Gisele, 31, and Tom, 34, have now moved into the mansion along with their two-year-old son Benjamin. The mansion, which is 22,000 square feet and boasts eight bedrooms, has a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool with spa, a weight room for Tom to train in and a wine cellar. A bridge connects the two wings and there’s a nursery for Benjamin, a lift and a butler’s room. The couple bought the land in 2008 for US$11million and had plans drawn up for the property, which they then had amended as they didn’t think the building was big enough. Thankfully, money is no object for the young couple, thanks to her modelling and his NFL contract with the New England Patriots, and various endorsements.

The house is located near the hills for the hike-loving couple, who often go for long walks with their dogs. Their neighbours will include Arnold Schwarzenegger and Heidi Klum and her singer husband Seal. Tom also liked the location as he will be close to his four-year-old son John from his relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, who is best known for her role as Natasha in Sex and the City. Gisele came under fire from environmentalists for building the huge home, but she insisted that its construction is very environmentally-savvy using solar energy, energy-saving lighting, rainwater recovery systems, waste reduction and recycling programmes, energy-efficient appliances and sustainable building materials.

Adele displays new slimline figure

She’s known for her superstar vocals and curvaceous physique but now it appears Adele has dropped the latter as she sports a new slimline figure following her health battle. The soul sensation was forced to cancel a string of gigs last year after falling sick and taking time off for throat surgery. And it appears it’s had an affect on her image, as she stepped out looking thinner recently. The 23-year-old’s face was notably less round and her black outfit slimmed her down even more. Adele stepped out for a spot of shopping and showed she is well on the way to recovery just in time to make her big comeback at the BRITS next month. She was seen wearing a fur hat as she bought her groceries from her local Waitrose store in London. It could also be her love life that is causing Adele to look healthier and happier recently. Her heartbreak has spawned the lyrics to the songs for her first two albums 19 and 21, but she has now found love again with new boyfriend Simon Konecki. The pair were spotted holidaying together in Florida, causing rumours to emerge that her new beau is still married. But earlier this week, Adele took to her official blog to dispel the speculation, insisting the father of one is divorced. She wrote: “This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon. Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years.”

Move over, Edward Cullen!

He’s known for playing some odd characters and Johnny Depp doesn’t plan to stop just yet. Photos of the 48-year-old in his latest role as vampire Barnabas Collins prove he’s still enjoying some weird and wonderful roles. Gothic-horror tale Dark Shadows is Depp’s eighth collaboration with his close friend, director Tim Burton. In one of the stills released, Depp is seen with Michelle Pfeiffer as Collins reunites with his dysfunctional family in Collinwood Manor. With his complexion extremely pale, and modelling scary fingernails, Depp certainly looks the part and will no doubt wow fans with another great performance. The actor has enjoyed huge success with various other roles such as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies, but he always returns to one of Burton’s scripts. Dark Shadows is due to be released on May 11 and also stars Jonny Lee Miller, Chloë Moretz and of course Burton’s long-term partner Helena Bonham Carter.
