RedBk Telephone Directory was one of the sponsors of this year’s The Friendly Lodge #239 fund-raising Charity Golf Tournament held recently at the Caymanas Golf Club, as the Lodge continues its drive to raise funds to assist worthy causes.

Over the past three years, the Lodge has raised $1 million, with the support of sponsors of its annual Charity Golf Tournament to provide the Bustamante Children’s Hospital with infusion pumps, as well as to offset the cost of maintenance of the equipment over three years.

Among the other charities which have benefited from the funds raised is the Marie Atkins Shelter for the Poor, where funds have been provided to prepare breakfast once a month for 70 indigent and aged.

The Charity Golf Tournament has also raised funds to assist with the completion of a major refurbishing programme which was carried out on the Hampden Basic School.

This annual golf tournament has typically attracted a large number of golfers, who have demonstrated their love of the sport and their love of giving back to the community.
