Heineken winners unveiled
THE winners of Heineken’s Inspire competition were unveiled in a lavish ceremony at the Railway Station, downtown Kingston on Saturday night.
The competition, geared at developing and highlighting talent, began on March 9 and attracted hundreds of performers.
Each contestant was required to create a Heineken-inspired piece.
The winners were Simone Neilson for a fashion piece dubbed Heineken Beach Summer Dress and Kevoy Burton for his short film, Kimona Wickham.
Mystical Revolution won in the categories of art and music, respectively, for Light Painting and Enjoy the World with Heineken.
Each winner received a cash prize of $250,000 each.
The party extended to the Heineken train where patrons enjoyed a ride through sections of Kingston while dancing to the latest dancehall and hip-hop tunes.
Close to midnight, the party vibe heightened as Bounty Killer and members of his Alliance clan took centerstage.
Patrons went in sing-a-long mode as the artiste and his crew delivered songs like Look Into My Eyes, Wine Fi di General, Stronger, and Poor People Fed Up.
