‘I’ve lost 60lbs!’

People Post

Beyoncé gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy about five months ago and the new mother has revealed how much weight she has lost.

During her concert at Revel Beach Ovation Hall in Atlantic City this week, the Single Ladies star told the audience about her post-pregnancy regime. “Y’all have no idea how hard I worked,” the 30-year-old told her fans. “I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!”

And the fruits of her labour were evident as she showed off her trim and toned physique in a series of revealing stage costumes. It’s been nine months since Beyoncé last performed for her adoring fans and the star had a few famous people in the audience including First Lady Michelle Obama and her two daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10.

During the set, she performed a selection of her biggest hits, including Crazy In Love, Love On Top, and If I Were A Boy.

She paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston with a cover of I Will Always Love You and closed the concert with Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

“Let me be an auntie”

Mariah Carey’s sister has issued a desperate plea to the superstar to let her meet her niece and nephew. Alison Carey, 50, revealed she yearned to finally meet her sister’s children Moroccan Scott and Monroe.

As the mother-of-four spoke out from her Long Island outpatient facility, her sister took to the stage at the 11th edition of the Mawazine International Music Festival in an outfit dripping with gold, a far cry from Alison’s lifestyle.

Alison Carey, 50, has begged Mariah, 42, to get in touch after a number of health scares and a lengthy battle with drugs. She told The Sun: “If I had a message it would be, ‘Just call me’”.

Her HIV positive sibling — who revealed she worked as a prostitute in New York to clothe and feed their family before Mariah found fame — hasn’t spoken to the star properly since having a huge argument in 1994.

Now she is trying to reconnect following the first birthday of her nephew and niece, who are fathered by presenter Nick Cannon.

He’s all grown up!

At the age of 18, most teenagers are saving up for their very first car. But for multimillionaire Justin Bieber, he had his eyes set on his very first home.

And he has found it in the heart of the upscale neighbourhood of Calabasas. The pop sensation sealed the deal on a $6.5-m mansion in the Californian suburb, where the Kardashian family also live.

According to the Los Angeles Times, he laid down the large sum for a 10,000-square-foot home on 1.3 acres.

Justin’s new home features a library, a movie theatre with stadium seating, a wet bar and a wine cellar, and the grounds include a pond. The property previously belonged to Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole.
