A brace from inform striker Shevar Brown carried Couples Sans Souci to a 4-0 win over Sandals Grande Riviera in the Sandals sponsored St Ann, St Mary Business House Football Competition at Drax Hall on Thursday.

In other first round matches, defending champions National Water Commission defeated newcomers Police 2-1; Noranda Bauxite doused Fire Brigade 5-1; Golden Eye Villas stopped Beaches Ocho Rios 4-1, while RIU Ocho Rios and Marksman played to a 2-2 draw.

In the feature match, Brown opened the scoring in the eighth minute when he beat the Sandals Grande offside trap to slot home over the head of advancing goalkeeper Christopher McKenzie.

Kemar Bowen made it 2-0 in the 27th minute and Vivian Hinds scored to give his team a 3-0 lead at half-time. Brown scored his second in the 68th minute to seal the deal.

Today Beaches Ocho Rios tackle Sandals Royal Plantation at 4:00 pm at Drax Hall.

Teams are divided into three zones with the top-two from each zone moving on to the next round.

Zone A consist of Beaches Ocho Rios, Sandals Grande Ocho Rios, Sandals Royal Plantation, Couples Sans Souci and Golden Eye Villas. Zone B is made up of NWC, RIU Ocho Rios, SADCO, Police and Marksman SC. while Zone C comprises Noranda Bauxite, Grande Bahia Principe, Club Caribbean, Fire Brigade and Royal DeCameron (Fun Caribbean).
