Deonarine, Best leads Windies fightback
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Part-time spinner Narsingh Deonarine and energetic fast bowler Tino Best claimed two wickets each during the morning session to trigger a New Zealand second innings collapse in the second Digicel Test match at Sabina Park.
New Zealand started the day on 59-2 but slipped to 109-7 by the lunch on day three for an overall lead of 160 runs.
Martin Guptill, who was dismissed late yesterday by Deonarine, is the top scorer so far with 42.
Deonarine has taken 4-21 off 17 stifling overs, who Best has grabbed 2-22.
Spinner Sunil Narine took the other wicket to fall in the first session.
Scores: New Zealand 260 (82.5 overs) and 109-7 (51 overs); West Indies 209 (64.3 overs).
