LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYZ!
Janice Rose-Brown (second left), Director of Operations, PR and Events at the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), presents the symbolic cheque valued at US$2,300 to Audrey Budhai (right), Director Children and Family Programme, CDA, during a handing over ceremony at the JFF headquarters on Thursday. Sharing in the moment from (left) are Alfredo Montesso, assistant head coach; Roy Simpson, team manager; Reggae Boy Alvas Powell, Carla Francis-Edie, CEO Child Development Agency; Maxine Smith, Glenhope Nursery Manager; and Errol Stevens, another Reggae Boy. The donation was accrued from the per diem and match incentives of the management staff and players of the Reggae Boyz team from the last World Cup Qualifying game and made to the Glenhope Nursery, which caters to children under the age of eight years old. The players, who visited the Nursery prior to their historic 2-1 win over the United States of America on September 7, here at the National Stadium, have pledged to continue supporting Glenhope Nursery for the duration of the World Cup Qualifying campaign, and in a recorded message from team captain Luton Shelton, he urged corporate Jamaica and indeed every Jamaican to partner with the JFF and the Reggae Boyz to support the children at Glenhope Nursery.
