And Jennifer Hudson chose to honour the singer at the ‘We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston’ event last Thursday night by channelling one of Houston’s looks in the 1980s . The 31-year-old wore her hair in an almost identical voluminous half-up and half-down style, and a near-matching outfit to one Houston wore onstage when she performed in 1987.Hudson was joined by several other big name celebrities at the event, including Britney Spears, Halle Berry, Usher and LL Cool J. Spears looked great, showing off her toned legs in a grey fitted minidress, featuring pleated bell sleeves. The X Factor USA judge accessorised with giant gold hoop earrings, laced-up booties and a huge smile.

Looks like the diet is working

During his heyday as one of the world’s biggest football stars Ronaldo was fit and lean. But, after quitting the sport, the Brazilian piled on the pounds and was seen sporting a bulging waistline and double chin. He, however, vowed to battle the bulge and it seems the 36-year-old football star is enjoying some success, as he showed off his weight loss heading out to dinner at Nobu in London last Thursday night. Earlier this year Ronaldo vowed to loose weight ahead of a charity football match where he will play against Zinedine Didane, later this year. And judging from his new slimmer shape, the programme is already working. The sportsman, whose full name is Ronaldo Nazario da Lima, has turned to popular Fantástico entertainment programme on the Globo channel to help him battle the bulge. In the 90s and early 2000s he was the star of his national side, winning two World Cups. But Ronaldo suffered a series of knee injuries before enduring thyroid problems. Both of these issues led to him piling on the pounds, and in February 2011 he retired from professional football.

Ke$ha is first white female to grace Vibe cover

Ever since she rose to fame after signing her record contract in 2005, Ke$ha has been known for her antics and party girl persona.But now the TiK ToK hitmaker is attempting to dispel the image and insist that there is more to her than meets the eye. The 25-year old has opened up to this month’s Vibe magazine to talk about her new album Warrior. And she used it to insist she’s not spinning out of control like some perceive and is merely having fun. She told the publication: “The first record was a celebration of partying and being young, but this record’s a better look at my personality. Whatever, I drink like a champion. But I can also do other stuff. I have a sense of humour about my lyrics. I’m not a train wreck — I’m just having fun.” And as part of her statement to show she’s not just a party- loving singer, Ke$ha also made history by appearing in Vibe magazine. She has become the first-ever white female to grace the cover of the urban music and entertainment monthly founded by Quincy Jones.
