Will Michelle Obama cover April’s issue of Vogue?

People Post

Michelle Obama is to appear on her second Vogue cover this month, according to reports today. Top fashion journalist Robin Givhan told the Washington Post that the First Lady was photographed for the US edition of the magazine in a look by one of her favourite designers, Reed Krakoff. Mrs Obama, 49, who first appeared on the cover of Vogue in 2009, was shot by Annie Leibovitz, the paper says, and apparently the famed photographer attempted to persuade her subject into a “creative” shoot – though she did not succeed. And while Vogue is yet to respond to MailOnline’s request for comment on the story, the report certainly adds weight to rumours that have been circulating since January 31 after The Washingtonian reported that Ms Leibovitz had been seen entering the White House. The article linked the photographer and her crew’s appearance to Vogue, writing: “It’s a photo shoot of First Lady Michelle Obama for the magazine’s cover.”

CBS White House corespondent Mark Knoller also witnessed Ms Leibovitz’s appearance and tweeted: “Today at the WH… Vogue is bringing camera gear into the WH this morning.” He also noted that a reporter from Vogue was on a press plane during Barack Obama’s visit to Las Vegas. The Washingtonian observed that the President’s schedule was clear for the day of the photographer’s visit, indicating that he may also be featured in the magazine alongside his wife. Mrs Obama also poses in a Michael Kors ball skirt and sweater in the magazine, the Washington Post says, but the apparent choice of Reed Krakoff for the cover is a significant one – she also wore the label in her latest official portrait and for the President’s swearing-in.

Gwyneth Paltrow reveals she starves her children of carbohydrates

She has tried the macrobiotic diet, the kale and lemon cleanse, and only eating salad for days on end. But now Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted that she has begun inflicting her obsessions with food on her own children – by starving them of carbohydrates. Miss Paltrow, 40, said that that she avoids feeding pasta, bread or rice to Apple, eight, and Moses, six, because it is bad for them, even though they are left “craving” the food. Her decision was based on the fact that everyone in her house – including husband Chris Martin – is supposedly intolerant of gluten, dairy and chicken’s eggs. Miss Paltrow’s comments are an admission that her habit of going for the latest fad diet is filtering down to how she behaves as a mother. She has in the past told how she snacks on almonds when she is hungry rather than cave in and have a proper meal.

Lady GAGA spins around in 24k gold-plated wheelchair

Trust Lady GAGA to turn a wheelchair into an accessory. Left with limited mobility after undergoing surgery on her hip, the 26-year-old was never going to be limping around on scruffy old crutches. Instead she is using a 24k gold-plated vehicle specially created for her by Ken Borochov of luxury brand Mordekai. The one-of-a-kind chair comes with a black tufted calf leather seat and a removable leather canopy. The vintage-inspired vehicle looks like something from Victorian England, with a padded leg rest and even gold-plated brakes. Designer Borochov said in a statement that he created the “chariot'” in a week and took inspiration from a throne. “I certainly wasn’t expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair, but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen,” he explained.

Strict on her children’s diet: GwynethPaltrow has admitted to starving herchildren of carbs and it leaves themcraving certain foods.
Her latest accessory: Lady GaGa turnsher wheelchair ‘Emma’ into afashionable accessory after surgery onher hip left her unable to walk easily.
