Potosi Farms & Round Hill Hotel & Villas Featured in the New York Post
Marika and Adam Miller copped the Food Producer of the Year award at last year’s glittering Observer Food Awards held at Devon House. They have been kept busy since then on the 83-acre farm and continue to promote, and veggie-fy as many Jamaicans as possible with their boxes of veggies and of course menu-testing. Their perseverance has paid off and The Food Awards Committee was delighted to read about the couple on Tuesday, April 9 in the New York Post. The article written by Chris Bunting is entitled Passion Fruit – Meet Jamaica’s savviest farm couple. Mention is also made of one of their “notable clients”, Round Hill Hotel & Villas, and Bunting is effusive in his praise of what’s happening in Round Hill’s kitchen: “Utilising Potosi’s crops from his truly farm-to-table menu, Toronto-born Chef Martin Maginley is the mastermind behind Grill, the resort’s main restaurant. His specialities include spiny lobster, roasted organic chicken, sautéed callaloo and tri-tip steak, and the way he uses Potosi’s bounty to enhance his surf-and-turf is impressive.”
Even more reason we reckon to buy Jamaican and eat Jamaican
