Digicel launches BlackBerry Z10, Facebook offensive
In anticipation of overwhelming demand for the BlackBerry Z10, Digicel Jamaica announced on Friday that it will be pre-registering customers through its Facebook page.
Starting today up until next Sunday, April 21, customers who pre-register will be among the first to get the Z10, ahead of its official release in the Jamaican market on Tuesday, April 23, the telecomunication giant said in a press release.
The new device will be the first BlackBerry smartphone to launch with the re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry 10 platform.
“As the leader in technology innovation in Jamaica, we pride ourselves in offering our customers the latest handsets that suit any lifestyle and budget. With the BlackBerry Z10, customers will experience the latest in smartphone technology – enabling them to create and share extraordinary moments with their friends and family using Digicel’s fast and reliable 4G mobile network,” said Digicel’s distribution director, Patrick King.
Pre-registered customers can collect their devices as of Tuesday, April 23 at the Digicel Experience Store at the head office in downtown Kingston plus at the Digicel store in Mandeville (Juici Patties), Fairview in Montego Bay and Main Street in Ocho Rios, the company said.
