The Kate effect has struck again as the Topshop dress she wore quickly became a sell-out. The dress was available to buy from the High Street chain’s online store, but within an hour of the Duchess of Cambridge stepping out in the polka dot garment it was out of stock.

Bargain-hunting fashionistas rushed to buy the £38 dress that fits Kate even though she’s currently six months pregnant. The Duchess teamed the black and white dress with a black Ralph Lauren jacket as she toured the Warner Bros film studios with Princes William and Harry.

‘He looks better in heels than me!’ Celine Dion

Celine Dion is arguably one of the most glamorous women in the world and has a staggering collection of over 3,000 pairs of shoes. But when it comes to looking good in heels, Celine admits she has some competition — from her two-year-old son Nelson. In a no-holds barred interview with Katie Couric, Celine admitted she lets her little boy rifle through her wardrobe to pick out his favourite sandals, and then lets him walk around their house wearing them.

Sharing a picture of the the little boy wearing a red tartan blazer, grey trousers and a pair of her own three-inch black heels that look far too big for him, Celine joked: “One of my sons, Nelson, who is two-and-a-half years, he looks better in heels that me.” Celine also admitted that her own addiction to fancy footwear appears to have rubbed off on her son, adding: “I don’t know how he does it, but I’m not the only one in the family who loves shoes, believe me.” Asked exactly how many pairs of shoes she has, Canadian-born Celine told Katie: “I stopped counting because I’m not very good at maths… I told you that!”

Marc Jacobs and Anna Wintour turned many amused heads at Great Gatsby premiere, after they turned up wearing identical Prada fur coats. The skirt-lover and occasional dress-wearer, 50, teamed the women’s coat from Prada’s spring/summer 2013 collection with jeans and sneakers, while Ms Wintour, 63, threw hers over an evening dress. Teen Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Amy Astley, snapped a picture of the matching pair on Instagram, writing: “New York’s finest #annawintour @marcjacobsintl wearing @prada #thegreatgatsby screening. #bestfashionmoment”
