NBA iLikes – April 30
5. His team may be down 3-0, but James Harden still managed to leave an impression against some of his former teammates. After failed attempts to create enough space on the perimeter, he drove past Thabo Sefolosha straight into the heart of the Oklahoma City Thunder defence for a huge one-handed slam.
4. Ty Lawson of the Denver Nuggets brought some flair into the play-offs against the Golden State Warriors. After driving into the lane and running into traffic, Lawson delivered a behind-the-back pass to Kenneth ‘The Mannimal’ Faried for an easy dunk.
3. If only for one night, Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers was nicknamed ‘Buzzer Beater’ instead of ‘CP3’ after he clinched Game 2 of their match-up with the Memphis Grizzlies with a game-winning lay-up, with less than a second left on the game clock. He managed this against Tony Allen, one of the league’s best guard defenders.
2. He may not make the highlight reel often, but Roy Hibbert was not to be denied forever, and debuts in our iLikes at number two. After picking up the pass from a teammate driving the base line, the Jamaican-born Hibbert stole the show with a one-handed dunk that had even the opposing Atlanta Hawks bench in awe.
1. This week’s top-ranked iLike is not an act but an individual. With the Bulls in need of a spark to strenghten their hold on the series, the ‘big’ little man Nate Robinson steps up with a massive spark of 34 points off the bench to lead all scorers for the night.
