Tyson Gay added to JII 100m
MONTEGO BAY, St James – American 100m record holder Tyson Gay has been added to the men’s 100m for this weekend’s Jamaica International Invitational (JII) at the national stadium, the Observer has learned.
Gay, who was fourth at the London Olympics in 9.80 seconds, has a personal best 9.69 seconds and will replace Jamaican Olympic silver medalist Yohan Blake who will miss the meet due to injuries.
Americans Ryan Bailey and Darvis Patton as well as Trinidad’s Richard Thompson and Jamaica’s Kemar Bailey-Cole and Lerone Clarke will also take part in the 100m.
