EVENTS AT A GLANCE – May 1st

TODAY

Wray and Nephew Contender

Boxing fans will have the chance cheer on their favourite fighter in the Wray and Nephew Contender series at the Chinese Benevolent Association on Old Hope Road in St Andrew tonight. Action begins at 9:30 pm.

THURSDAY

Curry Goat Night

Curry Goat Night at the Essence, King’s Plaza, in St Andrew.

FRIDAY

Cook Out

A customer appreciation cookout will be held at Charley’s Restaurant, 56G Windward Road on Friday. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Redeem and DJ Snow.

The fun begins in the day.

SATURDAY

Skyjuice Birthday Bash

Sound system selector Skyjuice will celebrate his birthday bash at Oneil’s Place, 33 Hagley Park Road in St Andrew on Saturday.

Performances will be coming from Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Chronixx, Specialist, Tarrus Riley, Queen Ifrica, Gyptian among others. Starting time is 9:00 pm.

Chandor Overtime

It’s music and more at the event dubbed Chandor Overtime which is slated for the NHT Car Park, third floor in New Kingston, St Andrew, on Saturday. Selectors ZJ Liquid, DJ Nicco, and Little Richie will be featured. The action begins at 9:00 pm.

Sassy In Black

The colour black will be all the rage at Sassy in Black at 14B South Camp Road on Saturday. Juggling will be provided by Jamrock, Little Richie and Glen Stinger. Starting time is 9:00 pm.

Portland Festival Queen Coronation

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission continues its quest in seeking the Parish Festival Queens. The search continues on Saturday in Portland and St Mary at 8:00 pm.

The Portland Coronation show will be held at the Port Antonio High School Auditorium while St Mary’s staging will take place at the Anglican Church Hall, Port Maria.

Party across the many genres of music while enjoying Smirnoff flavours and signature cocktails courtesy of Master of Mixes & Tru Juice each week at the Quad night club in New Kingston.

The party series will feature Chromatic and a guest selector each week. The action begins at 10:00 pm and continues until 4:00 am.

Retro Vibes Party

Party lovers will be going back in time at the Retro Vibes Party which will be held at Ocean’s 11, Lot 6, Fisherman’s Point, Ocho Rios, St Ann. Music will be provided by Krazy Kris, Craig Ross and DJ Edson. Starting time is 9:00 pm.

Equilibrium, The Heels and Shades Edition

It’s party time at Glamorous Plaza, Christiana, Manchester with the event Equilibrium, The Heels and Shades Edition on Saturday. Keeping the musical vibes flowing will be King Harmony, DJ Kentucky and DJ Kurt Riley. The fun begins at 9:00 pm.

Bikini Sundayz,

The Lollipop Edition

The popular beach series Bikini Sundayz takes place at Waves Beach, Hellshire, Portmore on Sunday. This will be featuring the sounds of Flava Unit and Jamrock alongside resident DJs Krazy Dean and Santana. Starting time is 4:00 pm.
