Industry insider, Annetta Aitken dead
ANNETTA Aitken of Tren-Setta Productions died on Tuesday from cancer at the Kingston Public Hospital at age 48.
According to her close friend Janet Anderson, Aitken was diagnosed with the disease two years ago. She said her health had deteriorated in the past two weeks.
“The doctor said her kidneys were failing, her feet were badly swollen and he said there was also a mass on her liver,” Anderson told the Jamaica Observer.
Aitken, sister of Supreme Promotions’ Junior ‘Heavy D’ Fraser, was involved in the music industry through Tren-Setta which worked with many artistes on rhythm productions such as the Green Peas.
Among the entertainers she was associated include Lutan Fyah, Danny English, LMJ, I-Octane, Natural Blacks, Queen Paula, Spice, Capleton and Elephant Man.
Annetta Aitken is survived by her husband, son, two sisters and two brothers.
