Wada Blood goes solo
TWO months after splitting with brother Andrew, singer Wada Blood is re-introducing himself as a solo act.
Early this month, Wada premiered his first video as a solo artiste with My Mother which coincided with Mother’s Day.
My Mother is the follow-up to Rastafari Way, a roots song which was released in December. Both songs were produced by Money Green Productions.
According to Wada (real name Delroy Reid), he and his brother’s decision to pursue individual careers was amicable.
“After being a duo for so long we just reach the point where we wanted to do things differently. Is like one is looking left and the other right so we decided it’s best to just split musically to pursue our individual goals musically, the 27 year-old told Splash.
Sons of roots singer Junior Reid, Andrew and Wada Blood were an official duo for over 15 years. Their most popular songs are Irie, One And Only, Find a Way and Memories.
Wada Blood plans to continue promotion of My Mother and Rastafari Way next month when he travels to Toronto, Canada for a concert.
