Berger, STATIN on top in Business House domino
BERGER Paints Jamaica Limited and the Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) are the current leaders of the National Association of Domino Bodies (NADB) Kingston & St Andrew Region 2013 Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum Business House League.
Berger Paints have so far amassed 51 points to best all 12 teams in Division One. The Zone B team has so far registered five wins from six starts. Defending champions National Baking Company lead Zone A with 42 points after four wins from five games. They are just one point ahead of Social Development Commission (SDC) with the same win ratio. The remainder of Zone A shows Wray & Nephew next on 33 points (three wins from five games); Gleaner on 32, with three wins from six matches; UWI Domino Club on 21 (two wins and three losses); and Jamaica Public Service (JPS) on two points, having lost all six games.
Jamaica Brandy are second in Zone B with 36 points accrued from three wins from five games. Seprod are next on 33 points, thanks to three wins and two losses, while Kingston Wharves come next with 30 points (two wins from six games); Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) on 16 with one win from five starts; and Courts Sports Club at the bottom with 11 points, also from one win from five games.
In Division Two, STATIN lead Cari Med by six points, with the latter scoring four wins from six games. National Housing Trust (NHT) are next on 44 points, also from four wins from six games; Jamaica Observer come next on 26 points from two wins and four losses, while First Heritage Co-Operative Credit Union are rooted at the bottom on six points, having lost all six games played.
In Zone A, Ministry of Finance lead with 51 points, having lost just one game in six tries; Caribbean Cement Company are next with 42 points (four wins and two losses); Bank of Jamaica come next with 34 points after equally sharing six games; Nutrition Products Limited are next on 32 points (three wins, three losses); and Kirk Distributors Limited occupy last place with six points, failing to score a win in six tries.
The competition continues today with a full slate of matches.
In Division One, NHT welcome Gleaner; Wray & Nephew visit SDC; JPS host UWI Domino Club; Seprod travel to Berger Paints; as do JUTC against Jamaica Brandy; and Kingston Wharves entertain Courts Jamaica.
In Division Two, BOJ host Ministry of Finance; Kirk Distributors visit Nutrition Products Limited; Jamaica Observer host NHT; STATIN entertain Cari Med, and in the cross-zone fixture, First Heritage Co-Operative Credit Union welcome Caribbean Cement Company.
