THE South Korean embassy and the Korea Foundation will be hosting Arirang Rhapsody at the Courtleigh Auditorium in St Andrew on Wednesday, June 26, and Thursday, June 27.

Showtime is 7:00 pm and 6:00 pm, respectively.

The event features performances by Noreum Machi, a traditional Korean percussion group, and B-boy dance group, Just Dance.

“We’re just sharing a little South Korean culture with Jamaica,” said Seong Hoon Kim, third secretary at the embassy.

The diplomat said Wednesday’s performance is a private one. However, Thursday’s show is free to the general public. The embassy will also give tickets on a first-come first-served basis for the performance to patrons who correctly answer the quiz posted on the Korean Embassy website.

“The show will not only strengthen the existing cultural bond between Korea and Jamaica, but also bring the two countries closer in bilateral friendship,” he said.

A workshop is planned with South Korean performers on Tuesday, June 25, at the same venue.
