My little rock stars!

Gwen Stefani takes her cool kids Kingston and Zuma out for ice cream

When Gwen Stefani took her sons for ice cream in Los Angeles last Wednesday, the stylish trio looked as if they had just stepped straight off a stage from a concert. The No Doubt front woman oozed her innate rock star style in a ‘Paris, France’ tank top and ripped jeans, with her signature bleached blonde hair pulled back into a loose bun. Caged-style ankle leather boots and big mirrored sunglasses completed the 43-year-old’s easy look on the laid-back summer day.

Having been well dressed by their musical mum from a young age, the boys looked just as hip as they trotted along beside her. Zuma, four, went for bright colours to compete with the glaring sun in a blue and neon green Nike top and striped shorts from trendy surf brand Hurley.

Marc Jacobs embraces graffiti scrawled across his Paris shop front by printing T-shirts of it and making a tidy profit

Most people would be outraged and call the police when confronted with a vandalised property, but Marc Jacobs is a man who reacts very differently to attacks on his business. When the famed fashion designer discovered that his store in Paris had lime green graffiti sprayed across the front he saw it as a business opportunity and turned the ‘art’ into a printed T-Shirt worth a whopping £450 (US$686).

After the ‘686’ branding, the fashion house tweeted: “Come by Paris Collection for the opening night installation of the new @therealkidult. We proudly support the arts,” in a sort of back-handed renouncement of the vandal’s intention. A defiant Kidult tweeted the very same day: “680? 689?…686?! How much are you going to sell this for? #kidultarmyparis #thisisnotart.”

The graffiti is the latest twist in an ongoing battle between Jacobs and self-styled ‘visual dictator’ Kidult. Back in 2011 the artist sprayed Jacobs’s Soho, New York store with the tag ART in bright pink. The designer responded by taking a picture of it, printing it on a run of T-shirts and selling them for US$686 (£450), which is what it’s assumed Kidult is referencing with his latest trick.

No animosity here! Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz appear together after playing love rivals in Vanilla Sky

They played love rivals in the science fiction, romance and reality warp Vanilla Sky alongside the film’s leading man, Tom Cruise, 12 years ago. But Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz certainly seem friendly in their new movie, The Counselor. The two glamorous actresses are seen near topless in a new film still, obtained by Entertainment Weekly, from the much-anticipated Ridley Scott offering.

Relaxing poolside at what appears to be a day spa, Cameron, 40, and Penelope, 39, lay on a lounge, naked from the waist up and their modesty concealed by white towels. Smiling alongside one another, the two screen beauties are seen enjoying what appear to be some strawberry smoothies.

Cameron and Penelope both appeared in Cameron Crowe’s 2001 hit romantic drama Vanilla Sky. Bubbly blonde Cameron played Cruise’s character David Aames’s obsessed former girlfriend Julie Gianni, while Penelope portrayed his love interest Sofia Serrano.
