Winning in white!
Celebrities were a vision in shades of white on the BET Awards red carpet.
The carpet might be red, but the colour favoured by the stars was most definitely white at the BET Awards at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday.
Michelle Williams was an early standout in a geometric shaped low-cut dress with a thigh-high slit.
The former Destiny’s Child singer styled her long brown hair in loose curls and matched her ensemble with a pair of 80s-inspired triangle earrings.
Putting a more unique spin on the heavenly theme was 106 & Park host Angela Simmons whose crystal-encrusted gown looked like it was taken straight out of Judy Jetson’s closet.
The elaborate sleeveless dress had a lot going on, what with the curious ‘breast shields,’ matching peplum and feathered miniskirt.
The futuristic get-up clung tight to her frame with sheer panels and a lace bodice, but took an odd turn with a stiff high collar and the tufted bottom.
Even the men stepped out in white, with host Chris Tucker leading the charge in a white suit and artists Kendrick Lamar and Miguel in graphic printed white shirts.
Also opting for the summery shade was Omarosa Manigault, who, despite her notoriously fierce personality on the reality show Apprentice, was all smiles in a wispy white gown.
The Donald Trump favourite matched her sparkling pearl collar with her shimmering shoes and white jewellery.
