DEFENDING champions Grace Canning and National Housing Trust (NHT) captured the Division One and Two League titles, respectively, at the 2013 Business House Basketball Association (BHBA) finals played at the Stadium Basketball Courts last Wednesday night.

Grace, who retained their title, won their best-of-five finals 3-0 with a 33-30 win over Guardsman in Game Three. They had won the first two games 26-24 and 33-30.

Meanwhile, NHT captured the Division Two League title by also clinching their best-of-five series 3-0 after beating Jamaica Infrastructure Operators (JIO) in a low-scoring Game Three 20-18. NHT had previously won the first two games 29-27 and 27-25 points.

Kevin Daley scored 21 points, while Goulbourne had 16 rebounds for Grace, while Omar Barnes got 10 points and 13 rebounds, Christoff Brown grabbed 14 rebounds and Jermaine Pattison with eight rebounds for Guardsman.

In the Division Two League Game Three Javon Bailey got nine points and Sean Miller with 12 rebounds for NHT, while Kemar McLeish scored 10 points and had 13 rebounds for JIO.

Meanwhile, XEROX beat Rubis 30-27 after leading 15-11 at half time to take third place in the Division Two League, while MegaMart captured third place in the Division One League after Sagicor Life Jamaica forfeited their match, as only two players reported at the venue.
