New Haven uneasy after police discover skeletal remains in community
KINGSTON, Jamaica — An uneasy calm hangs over New Haven in St Andrew, a day after the police discovered several bones suspected to be human remains in the community.
Cops said they stumbled on the bones during a pre-dawn operation Thursday in the area.
“Several bones were found but at this time police are carrying out test to confirm if they are human remains,” said Delroy Hewitt, head of St Andrew South Police Division.
Friday during a tour of the community residents spoke in hushed tones about the incident.
“It has really left us in shock and we hoping that police will get to the bottom of this case,” said a resident of the area.
