Manchester outclass Glenmuir, Edwin Allen
MAY PEN, Clarendon — Coach Simone Smith did say her Manchester High teams have depth, but neither the juniors nor the seniors required it yesterday at Clarendon Park.
They easily dispatched Glenmuir High and Edwin Allen High in advancing to the semi-finals of the ISSA/Digicel Rural Area netball competitions.
So comfortable were they that just a handful of supporters bothered to witness them whipping Edwin Allen, 55-20, in the Senior League quarter-final after the juniors had defeated Glenmuir, 27-12, in the early game.
No one will take their eyes off their next fixtures, though.
They play the powerful Knox College outfit in the U-16 semi-final and the defending champions, Holmwood Technical, in the U-19s.
“Those will be two tough games,” remarked Smith in her post-game interview.
