TVJ opens high definition studio for lottery games
TELEVISION Jamaica, a member of the RJR Communications Group, has unvieled a state- of-the-art studio, the new home for live draws of the Supreme Ventures lottery games.
The multimillion-dollar, fully outfitted high definition television facility, branded TVJ Studio C, is the first of its kind in the country, according to RJR.
It’s intended to be part of a series of investments by RJR strategically timed to keep the television station apace with changing technology in the global broadcast industry, according to the firm.
“The future of the group lies in expansion of our services under our Going Global Strategy to take advantage of the new opportunities offered by the technologies. This partnership with Supreme Venture helps us to solidify our Jamaican base while rapidly pursuing that expansion overseas,” Gary Allen, managing director of the RJR Group, said.
The completion of the studio made possible because of the new partnership with Supreme Ventures, brings lottery draws back to Television Jamaica after more than a decade at rival station, CVM.
Claire Grant, general manager for TVJ and TVJ Sports Network said, “TVJ welcomes the return of the Supreme Ventures lottery draws and looks forward to the continued growth and expansion of these two strong brands through mutually beneficial relationships that can only strengthen each company.”
Draw times on TVJ will be at 10:30am, 1:00pm, 5:00 pm, and 8:25pm daily.
TVJ Studio C was equipped by US-based Unified Video Technologies.
The RJR Communications Group includes Television Jamaica, JNN, RE TV, TVJ-Sports Network, RJR 94FM, FAME 95FM, HITZ 92FM and Multi Media Jamaica.
