An X.clusive affair
THE sky was the limit at the ultra exclusive New Year’s Eve party — Cîroc X.clusive Luminaries — held at the Sunken Gardens, Hope Gardens in St Andrew on Tuesday.
Dazzling displays of fireworks raced across the morning sky, while hundreds of red and white balloons containing patrons’ handwritten New Year’s resolutions were set free at the stroke of midnight.
Couples who managed to ‘brave’ the thunder showers of confetti recommitted themselves to each other with Champagne-flavoured kisses while others took to the dance floor and raised their glasses to usher in 2014.
“We’ve upped the ante by making the X.clusive experience a more memorable one,” said businessman Garth Walker, one of several promoters involved in the four-year-old event.
The high-end soirée lived up to expectations as it brought out some of Jamaica’s finest to the secluded venue.
Government ministers, businessmen, corporate executives and entertainers comprised the 1,200 patrons who came to ring in the New Year in fine style. The short hemlines and tall heels failed to put a damper on things as females were not to be hindered, partying into the wee hours of Wednesday.
“We have installed over 1,500 square feet of deck to make the dance floor more heel-friendly for the ladies,” said Jermaine Brown.
Brown, Wisynco sponsorship manager and part of the promotion team, said he was pleased with the turnout.
“X.clusive has become a staple event … and despite its growth, the brand has still remained an exlusive one,” he said.
