Disciplinary actions by racing stewards
THE stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission have announced the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.
Jockey O’Brien White, who rode Type Two in the ninth race on Sunday, December 15, 2013, was suspended for four racedays for the interference caused to Flagrans in the vicinity of the 200-metre point. The suspension will take effect on Saturday, January 25, 2014.
Jockey Shamaree Muir who rode:
Meru in the second race on Saturday, November 9, 2013, was suspended for three (3) racedays for the interference caused to Jovoun The Master in the vicinity of the 600-metre point. The suspension will take effect on Saturday, January 25, 2014;
Warr Girl in the fifth race on Saturday, November 23, 2013, was fined $8,000.00 for the interference caused to Flagrans in the last 400 metres; and,
Saga Boy in the first race on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, was fined $6,000.00 for the interference caused to Lovetta Jones leaving the 800-metre point.
Jockey Omar Walker who rode:
Pearl Appeal in the fourth race on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, was cautioned for the interference caused to Eminence Grise leaving the 300-metre point;
Shamrock in the eighth race on Sunday, December 15, 2013, had his explanation accepted for the interference caused to Decapolis in the vicinity of the 400-metre point;
Silent Storm in the fourth race on Saturday December 21, 2013, was cautioned for the interference caused to Pearl Appeal leaving the 200-metre point; and,
Deliciosa in the tenth race on Saturday, December 21, 2013, was fined $6,000.00 for the interference caused to Stamp Of Authority in the vicinity of the 800-metre point.
Jockey Aaron Chatrie, who rode Palace Dancer in the eleventh (11th) race on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, was fined $8,000.00 for the interference caused to Maybe I Say So leaving the 2000-metre point.
Jockey Percival Williams, who rode Rastaraven in the seventh race on Saturday, November 23, 2013, was cautioned for the interference caused to Zacapa and Let The Cat Purr approaching the 800-metre point.
