Southern Conference KFC/ISSA basketball quarter-finals on today

THE 2013/2014 ISSA/KFC Southern Conference High Schoolboys Under-16 and Under-19 Basketball League quarter-finals are scheduled to be played today at the Stadium Basketball Courts.
Matches scheduled in the Under-16 category are St George’s College versus Excelsior High, while Jamaica College take on Campion College, starting at 2:00 pm.
Meanwhile, in the Under-19 category, Jamaica College face Ardenne High and St Catherine High go up against Campion College, scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm.
Tomorrow, the other quarter-final matches are Ardenne High meeting St Jago High, and Kingston College taking on Calabar High at 2:00 pm in Under-16 action.
In the Under-19 quarter-final play-offs, Wolmer’s Boys will face Calabar High, while Kingston College will tussle with St Jago High, starting at 3:30 pm.
The semi-finals are scheduled for this Thursday and Friday at the Stadium Basketball Courts, beginning at 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm, respectively.
Meanwhile, in the preliminary round, St George’s College came out on top in Zone One of the Under-16 League, followed by Jamaica College, Calabar and St Jago, while Zone Two was won by Ardenne ahead of Kingston College, Campion College and Wolmer’s.
Zone One of the Under-19 preliminary round was topped by Jamaica College with St Catherine High second, St Jago third and fourth was Calabar, while Wolmer’s emerged winners of Zone Two ahead of Kingston College, Campion College and Ardenne.
The semi-finals of the Central Conference Under-16 and Under-19 League are scheduled to be played on Friday at the Belair High School.
In the Under-16 semi-finals, Glenmuir High will face DeCarteret College at 10:00 am, while Knox College take on Edwin Allen High at 12 noon.
In the Under-19 semi-finals, defending champions Belair High will play Munro College at 2:00 pm and Manchester High go up against St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) at
3:30 pm.
