Wadadah spank Duanvale in Western Confed Super League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Defending champions Wadadah FC spanked promoted Duanvale FC 5-1 at the UDC field in Montego Bay on Wednesday to move up into fourth place in the points table of the Jamaica Football Federation Captain’s Bakery and Grill/Charleys JB Rum Western Confederation Super League.
The win was Wadadah’s third of the season and first time they had back-to-back victories and moved to 12 points, ahead of Sandals Whitehouse on goal difference, for fourth place.
Reno FC continue to lead with 16 points, three more than Holland United, and Savannah SC.
Damion Reid opened the scoring in the 12th minute when he beat goalkeeper Devaughn Hawthorne with a low shot from the right flank, while headers from Anthony Marks in the 34th and Oshane Forbes in the 38th minutes saw Wadadah lead 3-0 at half-time.
Kevon Bartley pulled one back for the visitors in the 56th minute, but late goals from Ajohn Barker in the 86th and Jason Malcolm in the 90th completed the scoring for Wadadah.
