Tifa video featured on MTV Iggy
POPULAR music site MTV Iggy has featured yet another video from Tifa. Dancehall’s reigning female toaster is making waves on the site with her most recent video clip for Lyrically Educated/Nah Play Wid It.
The video was shot on location in Jamaica last year under the direction of award-winning director Ruption and the RD Studios team. The video was launched in fine style at the Fiction nightclub late last year.
In a release to the media, an excited Tifa spoke about her latest accomplishment.
“I am happy and grateful. This is my second video being featured on the site,” said Tifa.
MTV Iggy had previously featured the video for Tifa’s Champion Bubbler.
It was the second time that Tifa had worked with Ruption and the RD studios team. They had previously collaborated on the video for the chart-topping single Hold On.
Tifa pointed out that Ruption’s conceptualisation and eye for great visuals made the video a hit.
“I love Ruption’s conceptualisation, visualisation and especially his editing style. I thought he was perfect for the vision of the video. RD studios outdid themselves,” said Tifa.
Even though most of the work was done in post-production, Tifa was able to express herself through acting and dancing.
Lyrically Educated was produced by ZJ Chrome for CR203 Records, while Nah Play Wid It was produced by ZJ Ice for Thirty Six Degrees Records.
The deejay described 2013 as a decent year for her careerwise. She released a number of songs, which did well on radio and in the dancehall. She also continued her endorsements with Digicel and Bigga, while signing on as brand ambassador for Stewart’s Auto’s Mini. She also performed on a number of high-profile events locally and overseas.
“2013 was a decent year, not the best but decent. Lot of rebuilding and revamping and preparation for 2014,” she noted.
Her first two singles for 2014 are already heating up radio. They are the love song titled This Love, which features newcomer Yahsha (Barbwiyah Music), and Back it Up produced by Good Thyme Click.
Tifa has been nominated for three awards in the 2014 Youth View Awards (YVAs).
