Harmony start on winning note
BOUNTY HALL, Trelawny — Former champions Harmony FC started the Trelawny FA National Rums of Jamaica Major League on a winning note with a come-from-behind 4-1 win over Clarks Town in Bounty Hall on Monday afternoon.
Balwin Jarrett scored twice for Harmony FC, as they scored all four goals in a 29-minute span in the second half after trailing since the 22nd minute.
The win saw Harmony FC take over the lead in Zone One on goal difference over Classic United and Bunkers Hill, who both won their opening games.
Also on Monday, Flames FC beat Invaders SC in a Zone Two game with Shaquille Johnson scoring the winner in the 85th minute.
At Bounty Hall, Lupton Haughton gave Clarks Town the lead in the first half and Harmony, who were relegated from the Western Confederation Super League last season, had to wait until the 61st minute when Jarrett levelled the scores.
Jarrett added a second in the 79th minute to give the home team the lead, while Nichoy Anderson, in the 80th, and Shaquille Reid added a fourth in the 90th minute for the winners.
The league continues with two more games tomorrow — Coopers Pen against Classic at Coopers Pen and Wakefield All-stars hosting Invaders.
