Michael Jordan’s wife gives birth to twin daughters

Michael Jordan had a lot to celebrate on Tuesday night.

His wife, Yvette, has given birth to the couple’s identical twin daughters, Jordan’s spokeswoman Estee Portnoy told The Associated Press.

Portnoy said Tuesday night Yvette Jordan, 35, gave birth to Victoria and Ysabel on Sunday in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival,” Portnoy said.

Jordan is the owner of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats, who are currently the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and have a chance to make the postseason for the first time since he took over as majority owner in 2010.

Jordan, who turns 51 next Monday, married former model Yvette Prieto on April 27 of last year in Palm Beach, Fla. The reception took place at a private golf club in Jupiter, Fla., designed by Jack Nicklaus. Jordan owns a home near the course.

The couple met six years ago at a Miami night club.

Jordan has three children — two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine — with former wife Juanita Vanoy. They divorced in 2006.

Michael Jordan and Yvette Prietowere dated for five years before they got married.

Miss Piggy to marry Kermit in Vivienne Westwood-designed gown

It seems that Miss Piggy’s dream of a white wedding may come true as Vivienne Westwood designs a dress for her the next Muppets film.

The top fashion designer has created an ivory gown for the upcoming Disney film Muppets Most Wanted.

The film, starring Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais, features the characters on a mayhem-filled grand tour of Europe.

Miss Piggy, who wears the ivory couture wedding gown, has been trying to convince Kermit the Frog to marry her for years.

But film bosses have not revealed whether fans will see them finally manage to tie the knot.

“Vivienne Westwood is fabulous-just like moi,” said Miss Piggy.

“When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie…, she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the frog.”

The gown, teamed up with an ivory tulle veil, has “corset detailing and paillettes made from recycled plastic bottles”.

British designer Westwood spoke about the gown in the March issue of US Harper’s Bazaar.

She said: “The dress is one of my favourite styles. It’s called the Court dress and is inspired by 17th Century English royalty and the court of King Charles II.

“It has been designed especially …in a white pearl sequin fabric made from recycled water bottles. It’s the perfect choice for a royal sow.”

— Daily MailHalle Berry’s son Maceo pictured for the first time

He was born five months ago and the world has been waiting for their first glimpse of Halle Berry’s baby son Maceo.

That glimpse happened on Monday when the little boy’s nanny took him to visit his famous mother at work.

Maceo, whose father is Halle’s husband Olivier Martinez, has chubby cheeks and a head of thick black hair, and all in all is extremely adorable.

The baby has an exotic heritage, as Halle has African American, English and German roots while Olivier was born to a Spanish Moroccan father and French mother.

Maceo was brought to the Los Angeles set of Halle’s new TV show Extant for a visit, where the star and everyone else working on the programme promptly fawned over him.

Dressed in a cosy yellow jumper, grey leggings and white shoes, it’s hardly a surprise that the tot brought such a big smile to his mother’s face.

Halle, who is in great shape following the birth, crouched down to be at the same level as Maceo’s stroller and couldn’t help but coo while gazing tenderly at him.
