Three of four Santa Cruz escapees back in custody
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Three of the four prisoners who escaped from the Santa Cruz Police lock-up in St Elizabeth on Saturday, February 22, are back in custody, the police reported late Sunday evening.
Recaptured are Entley Smith, 31, of Haughton district, who is charged with murder; Nicolas Mason, 21, of Elderslie district, who is charged with robbery; and Elrado Turner, 22, of Burnt Ground district, who is charged with housebreaking.
Reports are that between 4:15 pm and 5:45 pm an operation was conducted in Haughton, St Elizabeth, where the three men were nabbed in a house.
The fourth escapee, Ryan Thomas, 21, of Leeds district in the parish, who is charged with murder, remains at large.
The Police in a statement Sunday sought to remind Thomas’ family members and citizens in general that it is an offence to harbour a criminal.
