Huntah reaches out to Ghost
The Monster Shack Crew which comprised Ghost, Roundhead and General B were one of deejay’s Huntah’s favourite acts when he was in high school.
So, it is appropriate that his latest song, Will You Remember Me, is a collaboration with Ghost. It is produced by Jimmy Ricks.
The 32-year-old Huntah, whose real name is Dewayne Jones, is originally from New Longville, Clarendon.
Though he speaks with a stutter, he says that never prevented him from performing while attending Clarendon College.
“Many people thought that it was impossible for me to become a deejay. But deep in my heart I knew that’s what I wanted to be, so I worked hard to develop my craft,” said Huntah. “I learned how to ride the rhythms properly and write good lyrics. The funny thing is I do not stutter when I am performing.”
Will You Remember Me also gave Huntah an opportunity to do some ‘acting’. A video for the track, directed by Outaroad Filmz, was recently released.
