William Knibb seek quick double
WAKEFIELD, Trelawny — William Knibb Memorial, last season’s beaten finalist, will be going after their second win in three days when they take on Montego Bay High in the first game of an ISSA/Western Conference Girls Open basketball double-header at Muschett High today, starting at 2:00 pm.
William Knibb opened their season with a big 78-32 win over Rhodes Hall in Martha Brae on Monday, while Montego Bay High are coming off a 100-point loss to Mt Alvernia High on Friday.
In the second game today, Muschett High will take on Rhodes Hall.
On Monday, William Knibb were led by 46 points, six rebounds, five blocks and five steals from Nassan-Gay Ricketts, and 16 points and 11 assists from Kiela Henry in a one-sided game.
Also on Monday, defending champions Spot Valley High scored their second win, beating Muschett 45-15, thanks to 21 points from Tasha Harris, and 14 points from Lanasha Smith.
